Abram lived with his wife Sarai in Haran. They had many sheep, which was good because Abram was a shepherd, and pigs would have been useless to him. One day, God appeared to Abram and told him to take his wife and leave Haran. At 75, moving wasn’t something Abram and Sarai relished so they recruited Abram’s brother, Lot, to give them a hand as he had a van.
